The fortress is located in hamlet Gradishteto in the bulgarian village Momchilovci. It is on a peak 1215 m high. Walls have been built from north, east and west because from south the mountain has offered a natural protection. It has been built in 6th century during Justinianus I (527 - 565) against barbarians. Bata

Bata

The fortress Krasen kale is located near the bulgarian village Bata. This place has been inhabited in stone-copper and early iron era. During Medieval period there have been a fortress with many towers. Nearby have been found two churches and a necropolis. One of the earliest churches on Balkan Peninsula is dated from 4th century which have existed here. Between 13th and 14th centuries this region have turned into one of the most important centers in Medieval ages. A rare find is a bronze matrix used for wax stamps by an influential person. Turkish invasions at that time fail in conquering Krasen kale.

Studen kladenets

The bulgarian village Studen kladenec is located close to town Kardzhali. Theabrasive wells have been formed by the lava from the active volcanic activity billion years ago. Their size is different and varies from 20 cm width and 10 cm deep to huge ones 7 - 8 m wide and 10 - 15 m deep. Maany fishes, amphibians and reptiles live there. You can go there following a marked tourist path. Studen kladenec is not far from town Kardzhali. This picturesque bulgarian town is located in the Eastern Rhodopes in south of Haskovo. The places for accomodation are diverse like 2,3 star hotels, appartments, villas and private rooms. Dobarsko

Dobarsko

The church is located in the bulgarian village Dobarsko, not far from town Razlog. It is believed that first people who have visited this place came in 1014. They have been soldiers of king Samuil, blinded after the battle in Belasitsa. They have healed their wounds with spring water from the yard of this church. An unique thing is that there have been no renovations of wallpaintings. They show more than 460 saints and local heroes. St. George and St. Dimitar are shown here in full size which is seen only here and in Athos. Saints are 30, not 4 - 5 as usual which is not seen at other places. The garden is full with different kinds of flowers, making it very attractive. This site is part of UNESCO heritage because of its art and historical value.

Thracian tomb Pomorie

Thracian tomb Pomorie

The thracian tomb is located near the bulgarian town Pomorie. It has been built in 4th - 3th century B.C. with a spiral staircase and a hollow pillar which are unique for this period. The tomb shape resembles of an egg having a south entrance. You can see an image of a man on left side. During Roman Empire after 1st century rich thracians have continued to create their tombs like mausoleums on bulgarian lands. This site has both characteristics because mausoleums are not covered with soil. Nearby have been found marble pieces and bricks which shows that there have been also other buildings. This fact have turned the place in a sacred yard, a sanctuary and a tomb. In 1958 and 1959 bulgarian specialists have been renovated it.

Fortress wall

Fortress wall

The fortress wall has been discovered next to an old house in the bulgarian town Sozopol. There has been a granary dating from 5th - 6th century, 22 meters long and 14 meters wide. It has been the biggest in this region with an impressive acoustic characteristics. Nearby has been found an ancient well dating from 4th - 3rd century B.C. which has been a part of a cult complex.
